Hi Girlies, hope everyone is well :)

Sarah Cole and I have been having a discussion about the number of quartets within IVY League and the number of people wanting to make a quartet and compete in LABBS.  We figured if we had enough youth quartets we could ask to have a youth section in the LABBS Quartet competition, but in the meantime we thought it might be an idea to have our own mini IVY League scratch quartet competition. 

We thought the perfect opportunity to do this would be at the IVY League retreat in September, where we could have an evening of scratch quarteting, or octeting, along with any established quartets, and have a lot of fun.  It would be a chance for anyone who is interested in quarteting to get up and have a go within a very supportive environment:)  And it would be a chance to get to sing with people you perhaps havn't sung with before, get to know people better and improve our singing.  And we could possibly include some prizes. 

If this goes well we can then put in a request to LABBS to introduce a youth section to the quartet competition.
